White Vigilante Groups murdered many blacks in New Orleans

THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION! THESE ARE THE FULL AUDIO CLIPS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED:

Part 1:

Part 2:
http://media.odeo.com/2/3/2/Katrina-...alikRaheim.mp3

During the International Hurricane Katrina and Rita Tribunal we heard all sorts of testimony about white vigilantes ‘hunting’ down Black folks. This was in addition to the widespread police brutality. In some instances New Orleans police were seen riding with and working with white vigilantes who claimed they were protecting their neighborhoods.

Former Black Panther Malik Rahim of the organization Common Ground was witness to white vigilantes who were roaming his neighborhood in Algiers which is located on the West Bank of New Orleans. This was one of the few places in the city that did not experience flooding. It was the only neighborhood in all of New Orleans that still had safe drinking water.

According to Malik, Black people who discovered the what good shape Algiers was in came over seeking refuge. Sadly they found themselves being chased off or gunned down by mobs of angry whites who patrolled the neighborhood. Black people including Malik who were from Algiers found themselves being threatened by their former neighbors.

During his searing testimony Malik offered up a documentary he and his comrades from Common Ground put together. In the documentary we get to see and hear angry white people bragging about how they were shooting and killing Blacks while they were barbecueing. It seems so outlandish to the point of dis-belief until. They went out at night on what they called ‘pheasant Hunts’. Malik estimates that over 200 Blacks lost their lives to white vigilantes.

During his testimony Malik talked about military occupation and how soldiers who came straight from Iraq were brought over to patrol New Orleans. Algiers was ground zero for many of these troops. Malik talks in great detail about Black neighborhoods being under-seiged and Black people being terrorized as bullet ridden Black male bodies were turning up everyday.

Kool-Aid Kicks

Kool-Aid and Reebok have collaborated on the upcoming Kool-Aid Pack. These brightly colored shoes feature scented soles from whatever Kool-Aid they are inspired by. Pretty weird, but kind of cool!

These sneakers have quite a bit of branding, including the “Kool-Aid” logo on the heel, the face logo on the side and very unique branding on the bottom of the sole.

No word on when these are going to be released, but we’ll keep you posted. Hey Kool-Aid!

Check out the rest of the colors.

Jamie Foxx To Premiere New Reality Show on MTV

Jamie Foxx will have a reality show on MTV called “From G’s To Gents”:

“From G’s to Gents” will take 15 young “G’s” and polish them up. Taking lessons in everything from Style and Grace, Etiquette, Chivalry, and Business Skills, the men will LEARN that with the right tools every G has the ability to be a true Gentleman – and a real shot at finding success.

Sounds like a Flavor of Love Charm School for men, but the real issue here is what’s really good with Jamie these days. He looks like he’s got the sauce for real.

MONTEL WILLIAMS REPULSED BY ALL THE COVERAGE OF HEATH LEDGER

Why does Good Girl like Bad Boy?

Women only want men who are going to slap them around and treat them like….

Well, you know the rest.

This seems to be a common sentiment among many self-proclaimed “good guys” who have become more and more discouraged in love and with members of their opposite sex. Why is that? And, better question: Is it true?

Do women really want and intentionally seek a man who is physically, emotionally and/or psychologically abusive?

Not exactly.

Because of some women’s pasts and/or relationships (or lack thereof) with their fathers, yes, some do inadvertently and subconsciously tend to be drawn to those types of individuals and romantic relationships, but that’s for a whole other opinion piece. Generally speaking…most women do not purposely seek such a malicious person to share their lives with. Ironically, far more often the case than should be, women do tend to nevertheless end up with - or at the very least spend way too much time, energy and love on - these types of men.

And on the flip-side, just as many of the previously mentioned self-proclaimed “good guys” often argue, are there actually more women than not who don’t really give the time of day to the kinds of men who will sweep her off her feet, catch her when she falls, be the shoulder to her sobs and love her unconditionally, respectfully and indefinitely? And, in continuing with the popular belief: For the women who do give these kinds of men the time of day, do they maybe only do so long enough to soon take him for granted and in someway mistreat him?

Perhaps.
And the “good guys” want to know, why?

Well, it can mostly be explained by a phenomenon that not only men, but even many women can’t completely understand and don’t even ever come to realize, themselves.

It’s like this:

For many women, the trick when searching for love is to find a man with a balance. One who is funny, sweet, sensitive, respectful, considerate and affectionate…and even better, has an interest in children and a healthy and positive relationship with his mother (or at least his family as a whole)….but who is also confident, strong, assertive and aggressive (to a certain extent), passionate, exciting and possesses a certain amount of pride and dignity about himself.

Unfortunately, anyone who’s been on the dating scene and on the lookout for “Mr.” or “Mrs. Right”…knows that you have a much better chance of running into an entire extraterrestrial family on a routine trip to the supermarket than you are to actually meet an available person with every single quality of your own individual preference. So, with that said…

Many times, women - especially those young and still growing - tend to place heavier weight on the latter-mentioned preferred qualities because they’re all more associated with what many women generally want their man to be, when it all comes down to it: a super-masculine protector and provider.

And for better or for worse, these same latter-mentioned qualities that most women hopelessly seek ironically happen to reside in some of the worst of men, and sometimes in heavy amounts. And those qualities aren’t just limited to the worst of men…but even the “not so good” ones - the guys who may not be the nicest…may not be the friendliest…but they are nevertheless very sure of themselves, go after what they want and fear little to nothing or no one. And in some twisted kind of way, this to a female becomes significantly more attractive than a guy who is just…nice.

Then you have the “good guy” who many times might either have very low amounts of these same kinds of “confident and aggressor” qualities or none at all….although he may be the sweetest, most considerate - and all that other good stuff - guy in the universe. The end result: his passiveness, over-eagerness, extreme shyness and/or in some cases, low self-esteem end up only negating his several fairytale-ish “prince charming” qualities.

This concept might not make complete sense to particularly the really and genuine good men out there…but there’s much truth and logic to it. Bottom line: Women don’t want jerks…but they also don’t want “good guys” who don’t have much of a backbone or don’t know how to live life.

Women want a balance…but since the balance is quite rare, many times, confidence - and the like - rule out, and hence you have in the end: a “good girl” with a “bad boy.”

This isn’t to justify or condone the popularity of such an odd attraction - or to give the “bad boys” (or the “good girls” who put up with them, for that matter) a break - but more so to to try to sort of explain and help some to understand the method behind the madness.

I’ve often screamed to my many “good guy” friends and acquaintances who have at some point or another told me that they were just going to “turn bad” to finally get the attention they “deserve” by giving women what they seem to want, “Don’t do it!”

It is really not that serious for two reasons: #1, you’d be changing yourself for the worst to an extreme, only to in a way try to please someone else…all the while #2, helping to continue an already vicious cycle: boy burns girl who burns boy who burns girl, and so forth and so on.

Why turn for the worst and eliminate all of the wonderful things that make you a rare - and appreciated more than you realize - gem? Why not instead just hold on to the best of you and in the meantime, step it up a notch…and if possible, be the balance?

Mother On Trial for Microwaving Baby

January 29, 2008. DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Jury selection began Monday in the trial of a woman accused of killing her 1-month-old daughter by burning the child in a microwave oven.

If convicted of aggravated murder, China Arnold, 27, could face the death penalty.

Police investigators believe Arnold killed 1-month-old Paris Talley by putting her in a microwave at her Dayton home in 2005. Coroner's officials said the baby suffered high-heat internal injuries and had no external burns. They have ruled out scalding water, open flame or other possible causes of death that could have damaged the skin.

Defense attorney Jon Paul Rion has said Arnold had nothing to do with her daughter's death and was stunned when investigators told her that a microwave might have been involved. Arnold took the baby to the hospital after finding her unconscious and does not know how she died, Rion said.

Visiting Judge John Kessler began questioning potential jurors in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Monday, asking them if they would be able to serve at a trial that may last three weeks.

During a pretrial hearing in July, police Detective Michael Galbraith said Arnold told him she arrived home in the early morning hours after drinking, fell asleep and was awakened at 2:30 a.m. by the baby's crying.

She said she warmed a bottle in the microwave oven, tried to give it to the baby, changed the child's diaper and then fell asleep on the couch with the baby on her chest.

KELLY ROWLAND'S SUBTLE ATTACKS!!! CLAIMS BEYONCE IS A SLOB AND SHE'S EMBARRASSED AT HOW SILLY DESTINY'S CHILD'S SONGS WERE!!!

January 29, 2008. We never thought this was possible, but MediaTakeOut.com is hearing whispers that Kelly Rowland is taking some subtle jabs at longtime friend Beyonce Knowles. As many of you know, Kelly typically goes out of her way to compliment her childhood friend and former Destiny's child bandmate.

But recently, that seems to be changing. First, in a quote given to a British Magazine, Kelly said the following about Beyonce and Michelle:

Beyonce and Michelle were both slobs! They would come on to the tour bus and take their shoes off, and I was the one who would say, ‘Put your shoes in the corner!’
.
And while that comment wasn't so bad, check out what she said about her Destiny's Child songs - that were written by Beyonce by the way:

It annoys me so much now, some of the stuff in the song [Bugaboo] makes me feel like I'm 17 years old, especially the line, 'So what? You bought a pair of shoes' - it's such a bad line to have to sing in concert. You bought a pair of shoes?' What terrible lyrics. At the time we were so into it but now - what on earth were we thinking?

And sometimes I'll go into [a store] or be at the airport and the song [Bootylicious] will play and I'll go, 'Nooooooo!'

Mychal Bell attending Carroll High School, wants to play football
By Tabby Soignier
Louisiana Gannett News

Mychal Bell, the teenager at the center of the "Jena Six" controversy, wants to play football at Carroll High School in Monroe.

Carroll coach Jackie Hamilton confirmed today that Bell had been enrolled "for two or three weeks."

Bell pleaded guilty in December for his role in the beating of fellow Jena High School student Justin Barker. As part of his plea agreement, he was sentenced to 18 months in the custody of the Office of Youth Development.

Bell is the first of the Jena Six defendants to go to trial.

"He wants to put all that happened behind him," Hamilton said. "It was unfortunate; he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Now, he wants to be a regular teenager, to move on with his life."

Barker was allegedly attacked by at least six high school classmates on Dec. 4, 2006. Barker is white, and the alleged attackers are black.

Bell, whose 18th birthday was Jan. 18, and the others were initially charged with attempted murder, which sparked a racially charged debate. In June, Bell was convicted as an adult of aggravated second-degree battery and missed the 2007 football season while serving time in jail.

A state appeals court overturned the conviction in September. The court ruled Bell’s case should be handled in juvenile court. He moved into a Monroe area foster home last month.

Louisiana High School Athletic Association commissioner Kenny Henderson said as long as Bell is academically eligible, there wouldn’t be any obvious roadblocks for a return to the football field.
Henderson had not, however, received the required paper work.

"He’s a ward of the state, and under our rules, wherever they place him he’s going to eligible," Henderson said.
